In this work I explore the fundemental act of being an identical twin; being in the middle of the comparison of two humans. My identical twin sister Phoebe is a 21 year old living in Mississippi, going to college for accounting, in a sorority, and vastly social. I became this.
The work was done over a six month period where I logged our communication, altered my appearance, interviewed our mother, recorded our phone calls, and finally visited her. On my visit, I used my gathered information to assume her personality to the best of my ablity, ultimately becoming the same person.
Materials: inkjet printed photographs, cotton shirts, polaroids, audio recordings, social media screen grabs, a recording of an Elvis song, found family photographs, hair, written word, wooden shelf
